This Vintage, 1950s Milk Glass Hobnail Apothecary Jar is one of those interesting pieces. It's round at the bottom, it has a diamond shape pattern. The hobnail design gives the illusion of diamond shapes/lines in all directions, yet it has smaller diamonds shapes on the finial or knob. It has no markerings but could be Fenton glass.
This piece stands 6-1/2" tall. It has 6 rows of hobs on the round base. There are 6 smaller rows on the top/finial. Bottom diameter 2-5/8". I found only one tiny nick on this lovely piece. It is in very good condition with no cracks or repairs. Weight approx. one pound and 1/4 oz.
FENTON Pieces: Fenton began stamping their decorative glass in 1973. Prior to that, they had a foil sticker, which has usually been washed away.
