Vintage Shalimar by Guerlain Purse Flacon Spray Bottle with Box – HTF ca 1980s

Guerlain of Paris made this bold patterned “elegance on the go” golden metal purse flacon spray bottle in France. The bottle has about half of the ¼ oz of Shalimar perfume remaining in the refillable container (recharge vaporisateur parfum).

Original Sharlimar perfume in this bottle. It is in excellent condition and comes with the original black and gold presentation box (which is about 5” x 2 ¾” x 1"), a black velvet – like purse pouch.

Inspired by the legendary love of Emperor Shahjahan for his wife, Mumtaz, Jacques Guerlain created Shalimar, which means ‘home (or temple) of love' in Sanskrit in 1925. A timeless, oriental scent that is sensual and vibrant, this classic women’s scent is marked by an irresistible intensity. Shalimar’s main notes include bergamot, iris, vanilla, jasmine and exotic amber. It has come to be known as the forbidden fragrance.
